The Little House is situated in the heart of the quintessential country village of Biddestone, Wiltshire. The house was built in 1608 and retains much of its historical background and features combined with comtemporary comforts. The B & B rooms are located around a charming courtyard thus allowing guests the freedom to come and go as they please through the garden. Breakfast is served across the courtyard in the house dining room. We offer good home cooking and breakfast can be anything from cereals, stewed fruit, porridge, croissants, homemade marmalade and jams and yoghurt to the full English, using bacon and sausages from locally reared livestock (when available)and eggs from our own chickens - or the farm next door. All three double bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, televisions, tea and coffee facilities. One double room has its own sitting room where children can be accommodated and another has a romantic four-poster bed.
Biddestone is located approximately 20 minutes from the Roman City of Bath and close by are the beautiful villages of Castle Combe and Lacock, both famous as film sets - scenes from Harry Potter and Pride & Prejudice at were filmed at Lacock and parts of War Horse at Castle Combe to name but a few. If you are considering coming to the London Olympics in 2012, Chippenham railway station is just 10 minutes away and the journey from Paddington takes only 1hr 15min, so why not see the Games and then retreat to the glorious Wiltshire countryside. The village has two pubs serving food, an interesting and pretty Norman Church, a lively duck pond (with overfed ducks) and good local walks. The Little House combines bed and breakfast together with a family home - we look forward to welcoming you.
