About The Little House
The Little House is situated in the heart of the quintessential country village of Biddestone, Wiltshire. The house was built in 1608 and retains much of its historical background and features combined with comtemporary comforts. The B & B rooms are located around a charming courtyard thus allowing guests the freedom to come and go as they please through the garden. Breakfast is served across the courtyard in the house dining room. We offer good home cooking and breakfast can be anything from cereals, stewed fruit, porridge, croissants, homemade marmalade and jams and yoghurt to the full English, using bacon and sausages from locally reared livestock (when available)and eggs from our own chickens - or the farm next door. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, televisions, tea and coffee facilities. One double room has its own sitting room where children can be accommodated.
Biddestone is located approximately 20 minutes from the Roman City of Bath and nearby villages of Castle Combe and Lacock both famous for film sets (Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice to name but two) and Chippenham railway station (mainline to London) is 10 minutes away. The village has two pubs serving food, an interesting and pretty Norman Church, a lively duck pond (with overfed ducks) and good local walks.
The Little House combines bed and breakfast together with a family home - we look forward to welcoming you.
